Neu will be releasing a new single on August 6th called, “SAYONARA観覧車 [SAYONARA kanransha]”
It will sell for 1260yen. And it will have one of Neu’s new songs on it called “レシピ [Recipe].”

R’s one day revival

The band R who disbanded on December 30th of last year will be having a one day revival live on August 16th at HOLIDAY Osaka.
The event, which R is also sponsoring, will be called 『Revealed ∞ transient eleMent』 and the other artists performing that night are Ziggrat, Bagii Bogii, Nealco, Hikoboshi, GoDeath, Maccaholic, Desaneck, Litchi, Claust la grace and Mus’ee.

「ヰトタマ＋」 (Itotama)’s new member

The band 「ヰトタマ＋」 (Itotama), which Adrienne posted about here, has added a new member to their ranks. The only information on their OHP about the member is that their name is ‘A’, and they will be their new drummer! A profile page has not yet been set up.

SKULL loses Sakura

At their live on July 5th, SKULL announced that their bassist さくら (Sakura) will be leaving the band at their oneman live “THE LAST IV BULLET’s” on September 15th at Takanobaba AREA.
The decision for Sakura to leave the band was the result of the members talking about what’s going to happen with the band next, the things that they are intrested in doing and considered future progress.
The band says that for the remaining lives with the current members, they will continue to do their best.
The members have each written a comment regarding Sakura’s leaving the band. If anyone wants them translated just ask.

This band isn’t exactly new, but even though they’ve been around for 1,5 years they haven’t yet released anything, so there’s probably a lot of people who haven’t yet heard about them.

L→R Ba TOMO Dr SHO Gu YUKI Vo RYU
Wednesday was formed by RYU and YUKI in January 2007, and soon after, in March, SHO joined their ranks. They did a handful of lives with this line-up, until in October, TOMO joined the band. The line-up has remained unchanged since then, and they’ve been doing lives at a steady pace.
They say that their music is a combination of rock, punk and mixture rock, and that their lives cut like a knife.
I think they look pretty cool, I like bands that wear suits. I’m quite curious as to what they sound like, hopefully they’ll soon release something! They have a bunch of lives planned from now on too, so at least they’re not slowing down which is always a good sign.

KISAKI’s solo photo book

KISAKI will be releasing a solo photo book called 「喪失～Optic in Vain～」 (Soujitsu～Optic in Vain～) on August 30th. This will be his last photo book, and it will also contain his final message.
The book itself will be 40 pages, and also contains a wordwide debut single, 「勿忘草」 (Wasurenagusa) (Forget-me-not), plus a DVD with a promotional clip.
Along with the whole package, you get a ticket for a lottery for a chance to attend a KISAKI PRESENTS “secret party” which takes place in Osaka.
The price for the book is not yet fixed.

Dali, Nega and JIL CHRIST session

Members from Dali, ネガ (Nega) and JILL CHRIST will be teaming up in a session band for the PARADOX 5th year anniversary 『パラソニ～PARADOX sonic～』 (Paranoia ~ PARADOX sonic ~).
The event takes place on July 21st at HOLIDAY OSAKA and the session band, named 地下線パラ貴族 (Chikasen Para Kizoku), features Ren from Dali on vocals, SAN from Nega and Keito from Dali on guitar, Ray from Nega on bass and Matoi from JILL CHRIST on drums.

Phantasmagoria plays for free

Kathakali’s New Release

Kathakali will be releasing a new cd in just a few days on July 7th, 2008 entitled 「カミガタリ」(Kamigatari). It will contain 5 tracks plus a bonus track and cost 1500 yen.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with this band. kathakali formed back in June 2005. They’ve released one mini album that I know of thus far. They’ve also released a song on the omnibus album 「Vision」 back in 2007. They describe themselves as a 「ｎｅｏ ａｌｔｅｒｎａｔｉｖｅ ｏｒｉｅｎｔａｌ ｒｏｃｋ ｕｎｉｔ」.

SEX MACHINEGUNS news

I know they’re not exactly visual, but since many visual fans are also a fan of this band I figured I’d post this news. Furthermore, this is probably the weirdest name change I’ve seen in a long time. Minus Hitomi Sanaka Kanoma Hitomi’s indecisveness.
RYOTATSU, the guitarist for the SEX MACHINEGUNS has changed his name from RYOTATSU to イベリコ・モジャ・マルムスティーン (Iberico Moja Malmsteen… from what I can gather. The straight katakana is Iberiko Moja Marusuteiin).
More news from the band is that their support bassist, Shingo Star, as of June 28th has become an official member of the band.

New Release for Tokyo Michael

On September 3rd 東京ミカエル (Tokyo Michael) will release a new single, おぼろ月 (oboro tsuki). There is currently no information about the track listing, but the cd will be 1575yen, and it is the first release of a three month consecutive release campaign.

more vistlip relase info

While the new vistlip single due out September 3rd, originally mentioned in this post, still does not have a title, there is a small bit more info about this release.
As Adrienne mentioned in the previous post there will be a CD+DVD combo featuring 2 tracks on the cd and 1 track on the dvd costing 1890yen.
Additionally the release will come in a CD only version featuring 3 tracks (still all untitled) costing 1260 yen.

TOSHI with T-EARTH has announced the release of their first album! The title is 「EARTH SPIRIT」 and it’s set to come out on August 8th. They say that the album will explain the true meaning of rock… and that surely it will be a definitive piece has a special sound which passes through the principles of royalty.
More details on that when we have it.
Furthermore, on August 2nd the band will be taking part in the Pusan International Rock Festival that’s taking place in South Korea!
Looks like it’s going to be a busy summer for these boys!

SectMa’s three month consecutive

SectMa has announced a three month consecutive release!
The first part comes out on September 3rd and is a one coin single (500 yen) with one track titled 「錠」 (Jou).
The second release is out on October 1st, and this time it’s a two track single. The price has not yet been fixed, but the title will be 「S=T;rips」.
The final part of the campaign comes out on November 5th and is titled 「ベルクィン」 (Berukein). So far that’s all that’s out about that one.
The band has also recently updated their OHP and it went through quite the change! It used to be black and now it’s white. Even better is that you can actually see faces on the header image now, not just backs of heads.
